The Amazing Climbing robot!

I always find robot technology interesting, especially seeing it evolve. Will we ever see AI or robot servants? Who knows!

I came across this amazing piece of video today and thought i would share it with you guys.

Maybe not a robot servant but boy it's cool, this thing can climb up walls! Not even any wires or anything, looks battery controlled, how that weight stays on the wall is pretty impressive. check it out: Wall Walking Robot

An Alternative to Lightbox and Lightbox 2

Lightbox is a great tool for having nice image smooth progressions, but i came across another nice piece of javascript zooming code for website images. It's called FancyZoom and rather reminds me of a the mac close window function.

I use it allot here at Door 15 Design Studio, especially when I'm doing some Freelance Graphic design or Freelance web design projects.

You can find this nice pice of Javascript here along with some examples.

Check it out!: FancyZoom

Even cooler things you can do with a Wii remote!

Came across this really clever guy called Johnny Chung Lee who has managed to turn a regular Wii remote into an interactive whiteboard with the aid of a regular projector.

So what i hear you say! We'll check this video out and see what else you can do with this technology, as a techno geek i found this very fascinating!

Choosing the right colours for your designs

Choosing the right colour scheme for your designs can be difficult and time consuming getting it right. I found this nifty little application to set your colour schemes easily and quickly and also giving you the ability to save them on the fly and come back to them.

This is great for freelancer graphic designers like myself at Door 15 Design Studio.

Check out this nifty application here: http://www.colorschemer.com/

It's not free, but still worth a purchase!

Top tools for Graphic Designers

I was browsing the internet as you do and came across a nice little app for graphic designers to create stripes for backgrounds. It's very easy to use and you can export your photoshop patterns as .png's and even share them with others on the same site.

It's not going to set the world alight! But it saves allot of time. ;)

Embedding my blog in my HTML site

After 12 hours of pulling my hair out and coding for god knows how long I finally managed to get the blog embedded successfully in my HTML code.

For those that may be interested I found a great RSS parser in the form of  SimplePie, it has far more flexability than RSS.php or lastRSS.php and also has support for Atom feeds.

You can find it here: http://simplepie.org/

Thanks to them for developing such a great RSS parser.

New Html website launched

Well at long last I've made the jump to HTML along with my flash site. Hopefully this will give my Freelancing more visibility!

Many thanks to my friend Chris for all his hard work and support while doing this project.

Ta Mate.
